An Ohio State coordinator is reportedly getting a head coaching job for the second year in a row.
Rutgers is reportedly close to hiring OSU co-defensive coordinator Chris Ash as its new head coach. The school is looking for a replacement for Kyle Flood, who was suspended during the season and fired upon its conclusion.

Ash is also the Buckeyes' secondary coach and continues the trend of schools hiring young assistants for head coaching jobs. Ash, 41, played at Drake before he became a coach. He came to Ohio State in 2014 after he spent a year at Arkansas.
He went to the Razorbacks from Wisconsin with coach Bret Bielema.
Ash was considered to be a candidate at Syracuse but the Orange reportedly went with Dino Babers, the soon-to-be former coach at Bowling Green.
Tom Herman, Houston's head coach, was hired from Ohio State before the 2014 season. He was the Buckeyes' offensive coordinator. Herman was one of the 2015 coaching carousel's hottest candidates despite his limited head coaching experience, though he signed a five-year extension Friday to remain at Houston for the time being.
In addition to replacing Flood, Rutgers has also replaced its athletic director. Julie Hermann was fired last weekend and replaced by Patrick Hobbs.
