Nebraska dismisses CB Jonathan Rose for disciplinary reasons

Nebraska cornerback Jonathan Rose has been dismissed from the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules, coach Mike Riley announced following Tuesday’s practice.

Rose, a senior, transferred from Auburn to Nebraska in 2012, but had had disciplinary issues this year. He was suspended for the Huskers' season opener and the game against Purdue because of off-field incidents.

Rose, who played in nine games and started five this season, had 42 tackles, seven pass break-ups and an interception.

With Rose gone, Trai Mosley, Boaz Joseph and Daniel Davie will see increased work in bowl practices and in the Foster Farms Bowl.
