(USA Today Sports Images)A few days after parting ways with Jake Spavital, Texas A&M reportedly has a new offensive coordinator.

According to multiple reports, the Aggies have hired Noel Mazzone to replace Spavital. Mazzone has been the offensive coordinator at UCLA for the past four seasons. Fox Sports is reporting that Mazzone “is expected to get a three-year deal” from A&M.

The news was first reported by Football Scoop.

Under Mazzone, UCLA had the 28th-ranked offensive and put up more than 500 yards in six game this season.

Before his time at UCLA, Mazzone served as offensive coordinator at Arizona State, Ole Miss, NC State, Oregon State, Auburn and Ole Miss. He also had stints as an assistant at Minnesota, TCU, Colorado State, New Mexico and with the New York Jets. Mazzone coached with A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin at Minnesota in 1993 and 1994.

Mazzone, 58, becomes Sumlin’s fourth offensive coordinator since he took over the program in 2012. Kliff Kingsbury left A&M to become the head coach at Texas Tech following the 2012 season. Running backs coach Clarence McKinney was bumped up to OC in 2013 before Sumlin replaced him with Spavital prior to the 2014 season.

Texas A&M had an up-and-down 2015 season, finishing 8-5. With Spavital calling plays, the Aggies’ offense struggled, finishing 10th in the SEC in scoring.

Kyler Murray and Kyle Allen both started at quarterback, but decided to transfer after the regular season. Murray landed at Oklahoma while Allen is headed to Houston.
