One of the best receivers you may not have heard of is headed to the NFL.

Bowling Green’s Roger Lewis announced Monday that he will forgo his remaining eligibility and enter the 2016 NFL draft. Lewis, a sophomore, was second in the nation with 1,544 receiving yards to go with his 85 catches (tied 21st) and 16 touchdowns (third).

In 2014, the 6-foot-2, 199-pound Lewis earned first team All-MAC honors by hauling in 73 passes for 1,093 yards and seven touchdowns.

He is the second MAC receiver to leave school early for the NFL draft, joining Western Michigan’s Daniel Braverman.

In other draft news, Nebraska defensive lineman Vincent Valentine also announced his decision to declare for the NFL on Monday. The junior defensive tackle played in 36 games in his Nebraska career, totaling 76 tackles and four sacks.

Fellow Nebraska defensive lineman Maliek Collins also declared for the draft after Nebraska upset UCLA in the Foster Farms Bowl.
