David Yost is back coaching quarterbacks.
After three years coaching inside receivers at Washington State, Yost was hired by Oregon to coach quarterbacks and be the team’s passing game coordinator.
Yost made a name for himself as one of the bright offensive minds while on Missouri’s staff as that program transitioned into a spread offense. In 2007, he helped quarterback Chase Daniel finish fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
Yost will have a large list of quarterbacks with which to work, including Montana State transfer Dakota Prukop. Jeff Lockie, Taylor Alie, Travis Jonsen, Terry Wilson and Justin Herbert who all could be on the roster by the time spring football rolls around.
Yost fills the final offensive position on the Ducks’ staff.
