Golfer Zach Johnson, like many fans of Michigan's rivals in the Big Ten, isn't too fond of Jim Harbaugh.
The Michigan coach's recruiting tactics have garnered a lot of publicity over his first full recruiting cycle and that attention will only grow on National Signing Day on Wednesday when Michigan hosts an event featuring Tom Brady, Derek Jeter and others.
A player that could be signing with Michigan on Wednesday? Alaric Jackson, a three-star offensive tackle recruit according to Rivals.
Johnson, a Masters champion who won the 2015 British Open, is from Iowa. Jackson verbally committed to Iowa but tweeted that he was waiting until National Signing Day to officially announce his decision. Jackson recently received an offer from Michigan and is a native of Detroit.
Due to some difficulties going on in this process of recruiting I will be postponing my commitment to February 3rd, 2016 on Signing Day.

Jackson's announcement apparently frustrated Johnson, who tweeted (before deleting) "@BlairRIVALS I’m fed up with Khakis. Just adding uncertainly and doubt to a teenager who already made his decision. Ridiculous." to Rivals' Blair Sanderson according to College Spun.
While Johnson's frustration is understandable, it's important to remember that verbal commitments aren't binding. It's why Wednesday is such a big deal; teams can finally officially count their recruits as commitments. Jackson, like many college coaches (and professional athletes, for that matter), is simply looking for the best available option.
