If Deontay Anderson wanted to make a splash when announcing his commitment, he certainly succeeded.
Anderson, a four-star safety from Manvel, Texas, narrowed his choices down to Texas, Ole Miss and LSU. Instead of going with a nice ceremony at his high school, Anderson jumped out of a plane. For real.
In a video with Bleacher Report, Anderson went skydiving, only to reveal his decision to play for Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss when he safely returned to the ground.

That is going to be hard for other recruits to top.
The addition of Anderson is a big one for the Rebels. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Anderson is rated as the No. 84 overall prospect and the third-best safety in the 2016 class. He is the tenth four-star recruit to join Ole Miss’ class. The Rebels also have landed commitments from two five-star prospects: quarterback Shea Patterson and offensive lineman Gregory Little.
