When Texas Tech landed a commitment from wideout Derrick Willies, it added one heck of an athlete to its roster.
Just look at this video he posted to his Twitter account: a 60-inch sitting box jump while wearing a 10-pound vest.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Willies joined the Red Raiders after spending the 2015 campaign at Trinity Valley Community College. He began his career at Iowa and had four catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in 2014. In his lone season at the junior college level, he caught 49 passes for 1,115 yards and 14 touchdowns and led the country in yards per reception (23.6).
Willies looks like he’ll be a dangerous red zone target for TTU over the next two seasons.
