Tulane announced Thursday that it's partnered with Texas A&M for five satellite camps in the state of Louisiana.
Friday, it found out that if it wants to be part of LSU's camps this summer, it may need to change those plans with Texas A&M.
LSU coach Les Miles said Friday morning on 104.5 FM in Baton Rouge that the Tigers' camps would be open to all Louisiana schools. With a catch. Via the Baton Rouge Advocate:
"There'll be that school that would not attend if they partner with an outside state school," Miles said, though not specifically mentioning the Wave. "Then we're certainly not going to allow them to attend."
Tulane's partnership with A&M clearly violates that rule Miles made public.

And while Miles is willing to help other Louisiana schools, he's not afraid to go to satellite camps in Texas given LSU's recruiting base in the state. As the Advocate notes, LSU will be at a camp scheduled in the Houston area on June 14.
Baylor and Michigan will be at the same camp a day earlier while LSU is reportedly in talks to be at a camp in partnership with Texas-San Antonio that same day.
We're interested to see if Miles' conditions start to become the norm as the proliferation of satellite camps continues. As Power Five teams become protective of their home recruiting turf they could start to realize the influence they wield over smaller schools.
