Cal landed a verbal commitment from Biaggio Ali-Walsh on Monday. Ali-Walsh, a three-star running back from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, is the grandson of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. A member of the 2017 class, Ali-Walsh chose Cal over offers from Arizona, Colorado, Louisville, San Diego State, Vanderbilt and others.

The catastrophic flooding in Louisiana impacted one of LSU’s own. Legendary Tigers broadcaster Jim Hawthorne, who retired after the 2015 season, was trapped in his home with his wife with no way to communicate with friends and family.
