The NCAA has an official cookie. And what a cookie it is.
Football Oreo. Forget about a playoff in college football -- this is an idea that truly should have happened years ago. We'll probably be on our third package of the football shaped junk food by the time Clemson-Florida State rolls around on Saturday night.
And while we'd generally point out this shows the NCAA will put its name on and profit from just about anything, the cookies are for a good cause. Oreo joined Kraft's "Huddle to Fight Hunger" cause with the cookie, and Oreo "will donate the monetary equivalent of 500,000 meals to Feeding America, the nation's leading hunger relief organization, to secure meals on behalf of local food banks," according to a news release.
Even more reason to pound down some of the "Official Cookie of the NCAA." Rich Rodriguez can start handing these out when the Popsicles are gone at Arizona.
