After Nos. 2, 3 and 4 all lost on Saturday, there’s no disputing Alabama is the No. 1 team in the country.
But things are a bit messy after that. The Tide, one of only two unbeaten teams in college football, got all the first-place votes in the post-Week 11 AP poll. After losses by Clemson, Michigan and Washington, Ohio State moved up to No. 2 and Louisville moved up to No. 3.
Michigan, last week’s No. 3, dropped to No. 4. Clemson, at No. 2 last week, fell to No. 5. Washington also dropped three spots from No. 4 to No. 7. Wisconsin jumped the Huskies at No. 6.

Wisconsin is the highest two-loss team in the poll. In addition to Washington, the Badgers are also ahead of one-loss West Virginia (No. 10) and Mountain West teams Boise State (No. 22) and San Diego State (No. 24). One-loss Troy jumped into the poll this week at No. 25. It’s the first time the Trojans have ever been ranked in the AP poll.
Oklahoma is the Big 12’s highest-ranked team at No. 8 despite having two losses. The Sooners and Mountaineers meet next week in a game that could eliminate West Virginia from Big 12 title contention. The Mountaineers lost to No. 13 Oklahoma State earlier in the season. The Sooners and Cowboys have yet to play.
The country’s other undefeated team, Western Michigan, is at No. 14 in the standings. Here’s what the complete poll looks like:
