Mississippi State maintenance staff got an unwelcome holiday gift when someone painted graffiti on Davis-Wade Stadium Friday night.
The graffiti was discovered Saturday morning. It’s pro-Ole Miss as evidenced by the “Hotty Toddy” in the pictures below, but that doesn’t guarantee that the perpetrator(s) is an Ole Miss fan.
There are cameras all around the stadium. Those will obviously be looked at. pic.twitter.com/voIbbrfhW9

Mississippi State officials declined comment regarding the graffiti to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger. “Go Rebs” was also spray-painted on the stadium grounds as well.
If it was an Ole Miss fan who did the vandalism, perhaps he or she was unhappy with MSU’s Egg Bowl win in November. The Bulldogs beat Ole Miss 55-20 to deny the Rebels a 6-6 season and a chance at a bowl game. Mississippi State is heading to the St. Petersburg Bowl at 5-7 because of the team’s Academic Progress Rate.
