Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald was excited for Wildcats' tourney win

Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald enjoyed his school’s win over Vanderbilt in the NCAA tournament. Fitzgerald showed up in Northwestern basketball’s locker room after the game and showed the team just how happy he was for them.

Fitzgerald was pumped.

The win, as you probably know, was the first game Northwestern’s ever played in the NCAA tournament. The Wildcats’ broke a tournament drought with a bid in the 2017 tournament and will play No. 1 seed Gonzaga on Saturday for a chance to advance to the Sweet 16. And if Northwestern makes the Sweet 16, you can guess you’ll be hearing all about the pride Northwestern grads in sports media have.
