Texas’ locker room is receiving a major facelift, and the Longhorns were there Friday morning to help.
There were sledgehammers involved.
After telling his team the school was committed to providing the best facilities in the country, new Longhorns head coach Tom Herman — decked out in a yellow construction vest and a hard hat — got things started.

Things got rowdy from there, with the team’s seniors all taking swings (and rips) at the old lockers.
The digital clock on the wall couldn’t escape, either.

That locker room is set to be completely renovated over the summer. The school hasn’t fully unveiled the details of the changes quite yet, but Herman made it clear from his hire that the program’s facilities needed to be modernized — the locker room especially.
The Longhorns are in the midst of their first spring under Herman. Fans will get a first glimpse at the changes he has implemented so far in the spring game next Saturday at Darrell K. Royal Stadium.
