Syracuse QB decides to run play vs. Clemson without a shoe

When your team runs an up-tempo offense and you can’t get your shoe back on, just run a play without a shoe.

That was apparently Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey’s thinking in the first quarter of Friday night’s game vs. Clemson. After Dungey was tackled on a run, his shoe partially came off. He couldn’t get it back on his foot quickly so he decided to run the next play with one shoe on.

His third-down pass fell incomplete, but Clemson was called for roughing the passer. The penalty briefly extended the drive before Syracuse was forced to punt at the end of the quarter.
