Tennessee’s John Kelly runs with an edge and must be a nightmare to tackle. South Carolina learned that the hard way early in Saturday’s game at Neyland Stadium.
On his second carry of the day, Kelly ran through three Gamecocks defenders on one run, doling out two brutal stiff-arms in the process. The end result was a 26-yard gain, setting up a Vols field goal.

Here’s a closer look at the second stiff-arm.
That’s a thing of beauty (unless you’re a South Carolina fan).
In his first year as Tennessee’s feature running back, Kelly, a junior, is averaging more than five yards per carry. He has been a bright spot for UT’s offense.
