Here's what you get when you combine the melancholy of losing a longstanding college football rivalry with an enterprising student and a pop song about breaking up.
Brittany Dye, a Texas student, changed the lyrics of Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" to sing about the end of the Texas-Texas A&M rivalry, which went away when Texas A&M went to the SEC.
The video is funny and well produced and the new lyrics are humorous ("I remember when we played each other, the first time, 1894, it was a shutout, and we played together for a hundred years" ... even some history thrown in there for you). Dye says in the info of the video that she did this spoof as a class assignment. We hope she got an A.
