Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has taken some guff from media and college football fans for pictures he’s taken – and posted on Twitter and Instagram – since he won the Heisman Trophy in December.
Earlier this month, Manziel posted a picture of himself and friends flashing fans of money that they won at a casino in Oklahoma. Of course there were mixed reaction, so Manziel took the picture down.
But last Friday, Manziel decided to have a little fun with some of his haters and post a picture of himself with a young cancer patient in a Connecticut hospital flashing fake money.
Great visit to the hospital today in Connecticut made a ton of new friends. Hopefully this picture passes compliance.. twitter.com/JManziel2/stat…

If you’re curious, Brad Barnes, who runs Texas A&M’s compliance Twitter feed, did, in fact, say the picture was compliant with school and NCAA rules.
Score one for Johnny Football on this one. There’s been a lot made of his off-field activities and this not only highlights one of his charitable contributions off the field, but also shows that he has a bit of a sense of humor.
