Colin Kaepernick is quickly becoming Nevada’s most famous alumni and the Wolf Pack is trying to capitalize on the fame of the 49ers star rookie quarterback.
Nevada is offering fans a chance to win four tickets and pregame field passes to the 49ers 2013 season opener if they purchase or renew at least two tickets for the upcoming Nevada football season.
See what they did there?
Hey, can’t blame Nevada for using Kaepernick’s fame to benefit their cause. After all, the Wolf Pack enabled him to get to the NFL. And while he was in Nevada, Kaepernick became the only player in NCAA history to have three seasons with 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing.
Kaepernick threw for 262 yards and rushed for an NFL-record 181 in the 49ers win over Green Bay last Saturday. The 49ers are now a win over the Atlanta Falcons away from their first Super Bowl since 1995.
