Penn State linebacker recruit Zayd Issah, who is facing multiple felony charges after getting caught trying to purchase McDonald’s food with counterfeit money, has temporarily lost his scholarship.
Blue and White Illustrated confirmed with Penn State that Issah met with coach Bill O’Brien over the weekend and O’Brien told Issah he was pulling his scholarship with provisions on how to get it back.
One of those provisions included Issah attending a year at a military academy before coming back to Penn State. Of course, the final decision is up to Issah and he could certainly try to transfer to another school. But with this case looming over his head, he’s going to have a tough time trying to get another school to take a chance on him.
