The Pac-12 and DirecTV are having some issues. The former would like the latter to carry its network, but it seems like they're unlikely to come to terms before the 2013 season starts. (Adding further insult, the DirecTV headquarters are in Los Angeles, the heart of Pac-12 country.)
Commissioner Larry Scott told fans to switch over from DirecTV at media days, and now the conference has examples of what you're missing without the Pac-12 Network. A few favorites:

One note of advice to the Pac-12: If you're trying to make the case against DirecTV, maybe use fewer awesome animals? I wouldn't mind watching a little Iditarod, some scenic views of American parks or a little bear wrestling to close out a long Saturday of college football.
