The Nebraska football team was bracing for a lecture after a cell phone went off during a meeting.
Instead, it got a night at the movies.
Last week, coach Bo Pelini pulled a great prank on the Huskers when a violation of the team's no cell phone rule was staged. After smashing the phone in front of the entire team, the room was incredibly anxious while Pelini exited to "lecture" the "offending" player.
And then excitement took over when they realized they'd been had.
Well done Nebraska coaching staff. From that video, there was no hint that anyone who wasn't directly involved was in on that prank, and that's some genuine joy (and relief) when the players realized they could relax.
