Michigan State junior safety Kurtis Drummond made an early pitch for play of the year with a one-handed interception against Western Michigan quarterback Tyler Van Tubbergen.
Drummond actually snatched the ball out of midair with some much force that it arched his entire body backward.
It was one of the few highlights in a first half where the Michigan State defense dominated while the Spartans offense struggled.
