Sherman Morris, an assistant athletic director for recruiting at Arizona State, has been placed on leave following a domestic violence arrest.
The incident happened August 29 and Morris is charged with a count of aggravated assault for serious physical injury and another for strangulation.
"We have put a football-staff employee on administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of the facts in the case," an Arizona State spokesperson told the Arizona Republic.
Morris came to Arizona State in March after being at LSU for six seasons as the director of player personnel. In college, he ran track at LSU.
