This fake girlfriend stuff isn't going away any time soon when Notre Dame goes on the road.
The Fighting Irish are in Michigan today and so is ESPN's GameDay show, which brought out plenty of signs from Michigan fans. A handful of those signs poked fun at former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend hoax that came to light just before the national championship game last season.
No, one long offseason and the fact that Te'o is now on an NFL roster isn't enough to make this stuff go away. At least not in Michigan, where fans mocked one of Notre Dame's historic slogans with a sign that read, 'Play like your girlfriend's real today.'
