Western Kentucky's five turnovers in six offensive plays wasn't the only unusual part of the Hilltoppers' visit to Tennessee on Saturday.
Late in the first quarter with Tennessee leading 14-3, Volunteers' freshman wide receiver Marquez North caught a pass inside the Western Kentucky 10-yard line while on his back. North saved the ball from hitting the ground. It then bounced off his leg before he finally corralled it.
Officials turned to the replay booth to review the play and the replay official confirmed it was a catch. North finished with two catches for 27 yards in the Volunteers' 52-20 victory. He is Tennessee's leading receiver with five catches in two games covering 60 yards.
