Texas’ 66-31 at Ole Miss last season was one of the Longhorns most lopsided, and memorable, victories of the 2012 season.
It was memorable for Ole Miss, too.
The defense was shredded, beaten and embarrassed on its home turf. The 66 points were the most the Rebels had allowed since 1917. The Longhorns gained 676 total yards. Quarterback David Ash threw for a career-high 326 yards and four touchdowns.
It was as bad of a defensive performance as there was in college football that season.
So, as the two teams prepare to meet again in Austin this weekend, Ole Miss safety Cody Prewitt used his Facebook page to provide a little inspiration and a warning to the Longhorns.

Ole Miss, which is 2-0, is meeting Texas at an interesting time. The Longhorns are coming off an embarrassing loss to BYU and just fired its defensive coordinator. Texas could easily continue its downward spiral or find some sort of motivation from last week’s debacle.
If it’s the latter, it’s a safe bet Ole Miss won’t be the Longhorns punching bag like it was a year ago.
