Philadelphia Eagles DT Fletcher Cox was asked Thursday about the Yahoo Sports report that he took a flight paid for by Luther Davis, and said that "Whatever happened, happened."

According to the investigation by Yahoo's Rand Getlin and Charles Robinson, Cox was one of five players who received benefits from agents through an intermediary, former Alabama defensive end Davis.

Yahoo found that Cox took a flight that was paid for by Davis on January 3 and January 6, 2012. The records included flight receipts and baggage receipts. While the tickets were purchased for Cox and then-teammates Johnthan Banks and Chad Bumphis, only Cox and Bumphis took the flights with Davis.
Cox originally declined comment for the Yahoo story. He left Mississippi State after his junior season in 2011.
