We hate to start your Friday with some potentially heartbreaking news, but that's just how it goes sometimes.
According to Radar Online, Katherine Webb's mother has told them that the beauty queen and Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron have broken up.
Have we now lost our college football power couple?
“Yes (they've broken up),” Katherine’s mother, Leslie Webb, confirmed to Radar. “Katherine’s just trying to stay real busy.”
Maybe we still can believe in fairytales. Katherine says not to believe everything you hear.

She also deleted a tweet that was picked up by The Big Lead, referencing Radar, saying that the website has harassed her family.
Webb shot to stardom after she was noticed by Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit during the Tide's drubbing of Te'o's Notre Dame in the BCS Championship. Since being noticed, Webb, an Auburn graduate, has appeared in magazines (including the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue) and was on ABC's Splash, a celebrity diving show. Webb was the 2012 Miss Alabama USA.
Heck, one of those magazines included a cover with McCarron's mom that was recently published.
We won't get into the alleged how and why, but Radar claims to have the scoop about the impetus for the possible breakup. Are we now on the lookout for our next glimmer of hope for college football love, or is this a false alarm? Maybe it's time to officially launch our campaign to introduce Miss Alabama, she of the Roll Tide evening gown, to Johnny Manziel?
