Ohio State honored the daughter of an Ohio sportscaster while completely dominating Florida A&M in a 76-0 rout on Saturday.
Maria Tiberi, an Ohio State student, was killed in a car accident earlier in the week. To observe her passing, the Buckeyes added memorial stickers with the initial “MT” to the back of their helmets.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, Tiberi was driving south on I-270 when her car struck a tractor-trailer that was stopped in traffic. She was pronounced dead at a Columbus hospital.
Tiberi is the daughter of Dom Tiberi, an award-winning anchor, who has covered the Buckeyes since the 1980s.
