Today was a big day for Penn State as the NCAA announced it was reducing the scholarship loss portion of the sanctions that were handed to the program two years ago following the discovery of the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal.
Of course, after the announcement, many eyes shifted to USC, which is still recovering from sanctions, including scholarship reductions and a postseason ban, it was given thanks to violations by running back Reggie Bush nearly a decade ago. USC coach Lane Kiffin told media he thought the Penn State news was “awesome” and even went as far as to tweet his congratulations to Penn State coach Bill O’Brien.
Congrats to Coach Bill O'Brien and his team!

I guess it depends how you want to view Kiffin’s remarks. He’s either genuinely happy for Penn State and is giving his sincere congratulations or he’s trolling the NCAA via Twitter. Or, he’s doing both.
Either way, well played coach.
