The NCAA has released a list of what it says are the top five loudest stadiums in the country and LSU's Tiger Stadium is tops.
It's unclear what criteria the NCAA used -- and if this encompassed all football stadiums, you know that the Seattle Seahawks would be crowing -- and it's fun to note that the top five list is pretty wide-ranging. Is that really an accurate sample, or was it simply a way to make people across the country happy and stifle any accusations of regional bias?
The top five was Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium, Wisconsin's Camp Randall, Texas A&M's Kyle Field, Oregon's Autzen Stadium and LSU's Tiger Stadium. So for those of you keeping score at home, that's two SEC schools, one ACC school, one Big Ten school and one Pac-12 school. You can check out the NCAA's video here.
It should also be noted that LSU also won for "best live mascot." That's an award that can't be debated nearly as much as "loudest stadium" because who is going to argue that a tiger isn't the best live mascot? No one.
