Fans stormed the field in celebration following USC’s 20-17 upset win against No. 4 Stanford, but a few were carted off the area thanks to medical staff.
At least five people were injured during the postgame melee, including one person who broke an ankle and another who was injured in a fall.
There were also reports of someone suffering symptoms from elevated blood pressure and another experiencing health issues due to diabetes.
Katherine Main of the LA City Fire Department said calls about the injured started coming in at 8:33 p.m.
"They normally control it so people don’t get onto the field, but this time I think there was just so much excitement they let the people go," USC fan Joe Sullivan told the local NBC affiliate.
