In order to secure the top spot in the SEC East, Missouri will need to beat Ole Miss and Texas A&M in its final two games. And according to the Tigers’ latest depth chart, starting quarterback James Franklin will return from injury to help his team seal the deal.

Franklin, a senior, separated his shoulder in Missouri’s win over Georgia in October, forcing him to miss the last four games.

Redshirt freshman Maty Mauk filled in admirably, posting a 3-1 record while throwing for 933 yards and 10 touchdowns. Before the injury, Franklin had thrown for 1,577 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Head coach Gary Pinkel said last week that he expected Franklin to return, but that Mauk will still play a part in the offense.

Franklin will be a big boost as the Tigers head to Oxford to face the No. 24 Rebels before the season finale at home against Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies.
