This isn't an ordinary fake punt touchdown.
While leading Ohio 24-13 in the third quarter Tuesday night, Kent State was lined up to punt. However, upback Nate Terhune got the snap and took off to the left and was encountered by an Ohio defender. No problem. The 6-foot-4, 261 pound defensive lineman by roster position hurdled him on the way to a 61-yard touchdown.
Yeah, Terhune is a defensive lineman, but he's not even close to 300 pounds, so we're leery of giving this the "Fat Guy Touchdown" label. But a defensive lineman hurdling a would-be tackler on a fake punt is incredibly impressive. Much more so than the last time Kent State got a lot of attention for a punt.
