With the Texas A&M Aggies traveling to Baton Rouge Saturday, LSU players and coaches have faced no shortage of questions about A&M’s Johnny Manziel. LSU coach Les Miles said Monday that Manziel is the best player in college football, and now Tigers’ star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. offered praise of his own, saying that Manziel is deserving of back-to-back Heisman trophies.
“Watching film on him and watching him roll out left and roll out right then throw back across his body making these incredible plays, it just shows how deserving of a Heisman and potential back-to-back Heisman he’s up for,” Beckham Jr. said.
LSU is so worried about Manziel’s mobility that Beckham Jr., one of the team’s fastest players, actually ran the LSU scout team, acting a Manziel-like quarterback.

“I think that simulated a little faster version of Johnny to get our defense ready for him,” said LSU receiver Jarvis Landry of using Beckham in practice.
Tigers cornerback Jalen Mills also was complimentary of Manziel’s ability.
“Just watching that guy on film, he’s a great athlete,” Mills said. If you say he’s not, you’re lying to yourself.”
LSU knocked off the Aggies 24-19 last year in College Station, so A&M will be seeking a bit of revenge Saturday.
