Could Stitt be happening at Wyoming?
Bob Stitt, the coach at the Colorado School of Mines who started the fly sweep's popularity in college football, is interested in the head coaching position at Wyoming per the Denver Post. Wyoming fired coach Dave Christensen on Sunday.
Stitt declined comment to the Post about the job.
The Colorado School of Mines went 8-3 this season and went to the second round of the DII playoffs.
If Wyoming was also interested in Stitt, 49, the school would have an opportunity to continue the awesome "Stitt Happens" t-shirts. However, if Stitt got the job, Kevin Sumlin may have to rescind wearing his. There's no danger of CSM and Texas A&M playing now, but given the kerfluffle that happened when Colin Kaepernick wore a Dolphins hat, imagine some folks in College Station reacting to a picture of Sumlin in a Wyoming shirt.
