The fan claiming to have taken Gus Malzahn’s visor is sorry and wants to return it.
A 15-year-old named Hayden sent The War Eagle Reader a letter – that he hoped would get to Malzahn – apologizing for snatching the visor from the coach’s head during the melee following the Iron Bowl win.
Dear Coach Malzahn,
I saw this on YouTube and war eagle reader and thought, “Holy crap what have I done!” I am soooooooo sorry about taking your visor; I took it thinking you would just throw it into the audience later anyway. If you guys can send me the address to return it to then I’ll be more then happy to do so….Anyway, tell coach Gus that he can definitely have his visor back and I’m sorry for taking it, especially in such a rude way. Long live the Tigers and War Eagle!!!
Some Auburn fans think that visor – in combination with Malzahn’s sweater vest – is one of the keys to the magic of this season. So Hayden better figure out a way to return it before the SEC Championship on Saturday.
