Voting for the Heisman Trophy concludes Monday, and most assume that Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is the outright favorite for the award on Saturday. And that includes Las Vegas, if you can even find odds posted for the Heisman any longer.
Sportsbook.com has Winston as 1/150 odds to win the Heisman. No, that's not reversed. To win a dollar, you need to bet $150. If you want to pick anyone else in college football from Jordan Lynch to Johnny Manziel to your alma mater's third string kicker, he's at 50/1.
You can get slightly better odds on Winston at BetOnline.com. He's at 1/70 to win the Heisman there, while the field is 35/1. There are no college football player props listed at Bovada, who had Winston at 1/10 a week ago.
If you were lucky enough to bet on Winston before the season at Bovada, he was listed at 33/1 to win the Heisman and was tied for the 16th best odds of winning. The preseason favorite was Ohio State Braxton Miller at 9/2, while South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney was at 13/2.
Speaking of Clowney, his over/under for season sacks at Bovada was at 18.5. He finished the regular season with three. If you would have taken the under on Alabama QB AJ McCarron's passing yards (2,900) and touchdowns (30.5) and Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater's yards (3,900) and TDs (34.5), you're looking good unless each quarterback has a fantastic bowl game. Because of his season-ending ACL injury, taking the under on Georgia QB Aaron Murray (3,674 and 30.5) was also a good bet as well. But if you're happy you won money off a college player's injury, something may be wrong with you.
