Bryan Harsin is leaving his post as head coach at Arkansas State to take the reins at Boise State, according to sources, reports Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde.
Chris Petersen left Boise State to take the head-coaching job at Washington, leaving the position open for Harsin. Harsin served as Petersen's offensive coordinator at Boise State from 2006-10. He then was Texas' offensive coordinator from 2011-12.
In his only season at the helm at Arkansas State, Harsin, 37, led the Red Wolves to a 7-5 record with a 5-2 mark in the Sun Belt Conference, leading the team to its third consecutive league title.
