Motivational quotes are a staple of Twitter. If you're a Twitter user, you probably see multiple per day popping up on your timeline.
Sometimes those quotes have something to do with the tweeter's life. Sometimes they don't. And Mack Brown's tweets on Friday are going to have many wondering if it's the former or the latter.
"Don't waste your life in doubts and fears: spend yourself on the work before you ...

...assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best prep for the hours or ages that follow it.”-Ralph Waldo Emerson — Mack Brown (@UT_MackBrown) December 13, 2013
Earlier in the week, reports surfaced that Brown would resign as Texas' coach by the end of the week. It's now Friday, and Brown is still the coach at the university. The status of his job has been swirling since the beginning of the season and the Longhorns finished the year 8-4.
On Thursday night, UT President Bill Powers kept his job after a vote by the school's Board of Regents. Powers has been a supporter of Brown, and wouldn't comment on Brown or football Thursday evening.
Who knows if it's a subtweet. But you can bet that many Texas fans are searching endlessly for any meaning. Will they find it?
