Michigan State was supposed to use its first postseason press conference to talk about preparation for the Rose Bowl against Stanford, but coach Mark Dantonio and defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi spent some of the time talking about rumors they were being courted by other programs.
Dantonio’s name has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the Texas opening, but said he has no interest.

Narduzzi interviewed with UConn, but said it wasn’t the right fit. UConn ended up hiring Notre Dame defensive coordinator Bob Diaco.

Narduzzi: "Hey to break up what we have going on right now and have to be a great opportunity (to leave it behind)."

This certainly has to be good news for Michigan State fans, who are enjoying their best season in 25 years. Much of that success is thanks to Narduzzi and Michigan State’s defense. If Dantonio can keep his staff together, Michigan State could be a team to watch in the Big Ten next season.
