The side of the foot counts as an entire foot.
Houston's Markeith Ambles made this incredible catch in the third quarter of Saturday's BBVA Compass Bowl against Vanderbilt. And despite the Cougars' 24 unanswered points and over 300 yards of total offense against the Commodores, Vanderbilt scored 17 late points off Houston turnovers to win 41-24.
Houston was downright incompetent in the first half on offense, but sprung to life in that third quarter, when it scored all of its points. Though that's where the success was contained.
The Cougars had the ball five times in the fourth quarter but turned the ball over three times and on downs once, including on the final play of the game.
That made things easy for Vanderbilt, who took the lead on an 82-yard drive early in the fourth quarter thanks to a Brian Kimbrow TD run. And then the final two drives netted 10 points on a total of one yard.
Vanderbilt receiver Jordan Matthews was the star of the first half, catching a pair of 50-yard touchdowns. The first was a little screen pass from Patton Robinette and the second was a deep pass and Matthew took care of the rest. Matthews finished with 5 catches for 143 yards.
