Louisville defensive back tweets that Charlie Strong ‘ain’t real’ during Strong’s Texas press conference

The coaching carousel always has its casualties as coaches move from one job to another and players get left behind.

Charlie Strong left Louisville this weekend to take the head job at Texas, and as Strong addressed the media in Austin Monday, Louisville defensive back Andrew Johnson didn’t hold back his feelings about Strong’s departure.

In a tweet that was eventually deleted, Johnson said, among other things, that Strong “ain’t real.”

Johnson’s tweet comes a day after his teammate, defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin, tweeted that Strong lied to him and said he would stay at Louisville. It's also different from the sentiment Johnson offered just two days ago.

Players definitely have a right to be upset – especially if a coach told them straight up that they were staying. Leaving one school for another is always a messy process and this is an unfortunate part of it.
