Bryson Allen-Williams is sticking with his verbal commitment.

The linebacker from Ellenwood, Ga., a four-star recruit according to Rivals and the No. 103 prospect in the Class of 2014, verbally committed to South Carolina in April of 2013. However, he was the subject of a late recruiting push from his home state Georgia Bulldogs. A push that looks like it's ended up fruitless.

I wanna thank #dawgnation for the support these last couple of days ... but on Wednesday I will be signing with South Carolina #WeCocky

Allen-Williams is the No. 6 linebacker in the country and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Georgia. He watched Sunday's Super Bowl at Georgia coach Mark Richt's house, according to the Charleston Post and Courier. He also took a visit to Alabama two weeks ago.

But the opportunity to start his own legacy at South Carolina is what made Alabama and Georgia not the most enticing of options. It's interesting rationale, especially when considering that South Carolina finished ahead of both Georgia and Alabama in the final 2013 rankings.

"I feel like if I just go to a school like Alabama, I'm just going to be a part of another legacy," Allen-Williams told the Post and Courier. "It's not a bad thing, but I would be a part of another legacy. Me going to Georgia, I would be a part of another legacy. At South Carolina, it's possible I could start a legacy of a winning tradition and being a top-10 linebacker coming to South Carolina. That's one thing that I have in my heart to go ahead and be all in with South Carolina."
