National signing day always has its twists and turns. Look no further than the recruitment of Oklahoma City defensive end Deondre Clark.

Clark, a four-star recruit and No. 127 rated player in the country according to Rivals, had been verbally committed to LSU since last summer but had been receiving late interest from Oklahoma. Wednesday afternoon, USA Today reporter George Schroeder, who had inside access with the LSU coaching staff at the team facility, tweeted that LSU had received a National Letter of Intent from Clark.

Later on in the day, Clark’s mother and his coach told the Oklahoman that Clark had yet to sign his letter, but signs still pointed to Clark signing with Les Miles and the Tigers. Clark’s announcement was then scheduled to take place at his high school Thursday at 2 p.m., but because of snow in the area, Oklahoma City schools are closed until Monday.

Now, as of Thursday evening, Clark is expected to make his announcement on Monday at Douglass High School according to the Times-Picayune. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Clark is expected to sign with LSU – Tigers Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette certainly believes so.
