West Virginia put up a billboard of the Orange Bowl score, in case you forgot

West Virginia is on its way to the Big 12 and it's bringing a little braggadocio with it.

The university, this week, put up two billboards along interstate highways in Morgantown boasting about the Mountaineers 70-33 win over Clemson in the Orange Bowl. The billboards have a "70" with an orange for the "0," a witty slogan ("It's not just our speed limit") and the 70-33 score.

Yeah, it's a little ridiculous, but can you blame West Virginia for wanting to capitalize the win? It was, after all, historic: The Mountaineers' 70-point outburst was the most ever scored by one team in a bowl game. And the win was a great way to not only celebrate the first year of a new coaching staff, but also usher in a new era in a new conference.

If you're a Clemson fan, however, this billboard is just another painful reminder of what a colossal disappointment the Tigers became at the end of the season. It was Clemson's first major bowl in 30 years and the result was a national embarrassment. Salt. Wound.

At least one West Virginia columnist sympathizes with Clemson fans who might happen upon the billboard.

But look at it this way: It's better than burning couches.
