There's nothing like black and white footage of old football games to get fans pumped up for the unveiling of new uniforms, right?
Right?
Well, that's the route Northwestern went with the uniform teaser it unveiled Monday.

Unless Northwestern plans to go retro and revert back to some of those grainy footage uniforms, there are absolutely no spoilers in this video. No flashes of helmets or jerseys. No random shots of purple fabric to whet your whistle. Nope, just a guy talking about the past while you watch video of the past en route to the eventual unveiling of the uniforms of the future.
In fact, the entire teaser, with the exception of the words at the very end, is in black and white. So there's a strong possibility Northwestern could be suiting up in varying shades of grainy gray this year.
Either there is an incredible subliminal message in this video or it's the worst uniform teaser ever. At least, the video did mention the new uniforms would be Under Armour. So there's that.
