Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck said his team's locker room after its win at Idaho in September was "dirty" instead of "damaged."

The AP reported Monday that per emails from Idaho to Western Michigan, WMU players knocked sinks loose, broke a trophy and caused other damage to the visitors' locker room after the Broncos won 45-33 on September 13.

"Our players did nothing wrong," Fleck said at his press conference Tuesday (via MLive.com) "That is not called damaged in my opinion, that's called dirty."

"I'm the last one out of the locker room, I check everything and our equipment people were in the process of picking it up and I walked out of there and I allowed someone from a different team to say  'don't worry, we got it, you guys got a long flight, why don't you go.' That's the last time I trust anybody from another team. That's OK, it's my fault because I'm the last one and I check everything."

Idaho's athletic director told Western Michigan's AD in an email that sinks were loose and may need to be remounted, a track and field poster was cooked in a microwave and a track and field plaque was broken. The locker room that WMU was using is typically the track and field's team.

A ceiling tile was also reported damaged. Fleck took responsibility for it.

"I will say this, the broken ceiling tile was mine," Fleck said. "I jumped so high when we won into our players that that is my fault. We reported that to them. We showed that to them and that was me. I would do it again because I was excited.

"There was a plaque that fell of the wall. You know what, we jumped and jumped and jumped and celebrated, but there was nothing that was done intentionally whatsoever and our players did nothing wrong."

Idaho billed WMU $500 for the damages, which WMU has said it would pay.
